Located in the in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Scarborough Centre is a vibrant urban community that is home to a richly diverse population.

Located East of Downtown Toronto, Scarborough Centre is a riding that is defined by boundaries on the west at Victoria Park Avenue, on the north by Highway 401, on the east by Toyota Place, Corporate Drive and Bellamy Road North, and on the south by Eglinton Avenue East, the Canadian National Railway and the hydroelectric transmission line situated north of Romulus Drive.

Scarborough Centre has always been a community that welcomes a variety of cultures with nearly 55% of the population coming being immigrants. The three largest ethnic groups in Scarborough Centre are South Asian, Chinese, and Filipino.
